20 - 22nd June 2017 IIOM International Conference & Exhibition - Bristol, UK

This three day event will begin with a one day workshop followed by two days of conference sessions.  There will be a trade exhibition adjacent to the conference room, refreshment breaks will be held in the exhibition area providing delegates lots of time to meet the exhibitors. The event will offer lots of networking opportunities at the Welcome Reception and also at the Gala Dinner which will be held on SS Great Britain.

21 - 24 November 2016 Asia Tin Week, Shanghai, China

The Asia Tin Week included the ITRI Asia Tin Summit, China Solder Technology Forum and Futures Market and Hedging Seminar. The event offered lots of networking opportunities at the Welcome Reception, Gala Dinner, SHFE Visit and visit to Yu Gardens.  

Cognition AM built the international delegate conference website including delegate registration, managed the international speaker programme, all international marketing.



4 - 6 October 2016 International Tinplate Conference - Kensington, London

This two day conference and exhibition included a drinks reception followed by a networking dinner with table to table magician.

26 - 28 April 2016 International Tin Conference - Lima, Peru

This event opened with a cocktail reception, followed by two days of conference sessions, a gala dinner and an Industry tour. 16 - 18 June 2015  Inaugural  International Institute of Obsolescence Management Conference - Edinburgh, UK

The objective of the Forum is to bring together the Obsolescence Management community to share best practice. The event comprises one day of workshops, followed by  a 2 day conference and table top exhibition with networking events comprising a networking reception and gala dinner . Held over three stunning venues in Edinburgh, with the main conference and exhibition in the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.

18 - 20 May 2015 China International Tin Forum - Shanghai, China

The objective of the Forum is to give international delegates a window into the world's largest Tin Market, while providing the Chinese industry with a clear view of trends in global supply, demand and prices. The event comprises  a 2 day conference with networking events comprising a cocktail reception, gala dinner and a networking trip in the afternoon of the last conference day. It attracted over 300 delegates with half international and half domestic delegates, giving delegates the chance to build profitable relationships.

17 June 2014 Conflicts Minerals Conference - Elstree, UK

This was a new event owned by Cognition AM Ltd. The European Commission released its long expected draft Regulation on Responsible Conflict Minerals Sourcing on 5th March 2014, proposing a voluntary self-certification scheme supported by due diligence for importers of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold. Our one day conference ‘ Managing Conflict Mineral Issues in a Non-Consumer Environment’ was designed to address how this new legislation could affect your company along with a number of other pressing issues. Workshops

COG Workshops

These workshops are run by Industry Specialists presenting Electronics Obsolescence related topics and are intended to give the opportunity for in-depth discussion of obsolescence related topics. The workshops are interactive, with presentations in the morning and team exercises and discussion sessions in the afternoon.

Cognition AM have been managing these since their inception in 2001. We handle the sourcing of speakers, delegate registration, venue negotiation, all course materials and attend the workshops to facilitate the presentations and registration.

Meetings

Cognition AM organise the Component Obsolescence Group International Members meetings, the Steering Board Meetings and all the sub group meetings.

COG member meetings

These are like mini conferences with speakers and discussion group leaders giving the latest updates on industry related “hot topics”. The meeting day is preceded by a members networking dinner the evening before. Cognition source the speakers, co-ordinate members registrations, market the meeting to industry guests and handle their registration, negotiate venues and provide staff at the event and all the documentation for the day. All information is then loaded onto clients’ website for members to access.

Steering Board Meetings

These are where the policies for driving the association forward are made. Cognition AM facilitates these meetings and ensures all legal requirements are met. We prepare all relevant documentation and implement the actions from these meetings. The board meet at least once a quarter.


Sub Group Meetings

There are currently 3 sub groups reporting to the COG Board, but we have handled up to 7 groups.
